As a resident of the Southport Historic district, I have remodeled three homes in the heart of the historic district in recent years (Price Thompson House on Moore St., B.F. Newton House on Lord St. and Edward Davis House on Brunswick Street. As a result of this I can direct you to the area's most reliable contractors.



On the other side of the coin I have helped guide clients through the residential new construction process, including most recently my parents who relocated from Colorado, and my college roommate's family who came from the Northern Va area.



Several years ago I owned and operated Southport General Store, and also have listed and/or sold locations for a variety of small businesses including bed and breakfast inns, ice cream stores, garden shops, jewelry stores etc. I served as the Buyer's agent in the purchase of the historic Bank of Southport building and provided advice during its renovation and remodeling into a thriving multi-tenant location location on Moore St. Southport.



In a previous life I co-owned a small environmental consulting company and worked with real estate developers and private industry in helping them secure the property and permits necessary to achieve their business and development goals,

My educational background (B.A. Environmental Science, University of VA and Masters in Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) has equipped me with the tools necessary to help my clients in all phases of residential and commercial development.



And if your bucket list includes purchasing property in exotic locations like Costa Rica, I'd be happy to assist. Years ago after the first (of many) trips I fell in love with this lush exotic country. I've owned several pieces of coastal property there and have been involved in cash purchases there as well as self directed IRA's.
