I am originally from Georgia but have been an N.C. resident since 1976 and discovered Bald Head Island when my career in medical packaging materials brought me to Wilmington. The incredible trees, landscape and how the development just blends into the natural surroundings was and remains the hook that caught me. My wife, Jane, retired Executive Director of the Old Baldy Foundation, and I have made Bald Head Island into our "home town". I love the nature of the island and truly enjoy helping people make the Bald Head Island lifestyle part of their lives. As an instrument-rated private pilot, I am privileged to fly animal rescue flights for Pilots n Paws and conservation-related flights for SouthWings, where I was recently awarded "Honorary Emeritus" pilot status.
