I was born and raised in the suburbs of Maryland outside of Washington DC. Growing up, we always vacationed in Ocean City, MD. As the years went on, Ocean City just became too congested and over-commercialized for my parents as they often came home feeling like they needed another vacation.



My folks had been hearing the rave reviews for years from many of their friends about how beautiful the Coastal Carolinas were. One year, they packed us kids up and came south for a vacation at Sunset Beach, NC. They came back from the Carolinas hooked and we began vacationing here every year thereafter. The laid-back lifestyle, affordable living, beautiful beaches, southern hospitality, world class golf, and the year-round mild climate were just a few of the reasons that dragged them in.



After retiring in 2000, my parents looked around quite a bit in the Southeastern US. The more they looked, it became clear that they belonged in Brunswick County as it had everything that they always wanted for this next chapter of their lives. Fast forward 10+ years and they could not be happier with their decision. And, whats not to be happy about?! They are finally free of 4 kids (at least financially), cold winters, the high taxes up north, brutal traffic, etc.



I share my family's story because I've learned that their story is a common one for many families looking to migrate south. I look forward to assisting you on this journey.
