My father instilled in me the value of owning property when I was very young. As we walked the farm on Sunday afternoons, he taught me how to recognize the iron pens and hack marks on trees that marked our property lines. In 1977 I brought this love of property ownership into my professional career when I became a broker/REALTOR with ERA Family Tree in Statesville, NC and began selling resort residential property on Lake Norman, NC.



As I now make a full circle by joining Wilkinson ERA Real Estate on Oak Island, I value the relationships I have with past and current customers. Having owned and operated several successful real estate companies, I understand the importance of listening to my customers and clients as they seek my services.



I first visited Oak Island in 1975 and purchased my first beach property here in 1984. When my husband and I could make a discretionary move, we chose Oak Island in 1999. I love living and working in Brunswick County and I believe moving here was one of the best decisions I ever made.



My passion is advocating for abused and neglected children. As a former Guardian ad Litem (GAL) volunteer ( a child's voice in court), I now serve as the GAL liaison on the board of WAVES4K.I.D.S. This is a non-profit that provides funds and resources for the unmet needs of youth associated with foster care, child protective services, and other youth who qualify. To acknowledge my service to the community, I received the “ 2011 Good Neighbor Award” from the Brunswick County Association of Realtors and the September 2013 “Golden Pineapple Award” from Southport /Oak Island Chamber of Commerce for superior customer service. I have been awarded the Strategic Pricing Specialist (SPS) Designation and the Short Sale/Foreclosure Resource (SFR) Certification.
