David H. Stuart has been lead commercial Broker for Sloane Commercial Real Estate since 2002. Licensed in both Carolinas, David specializes in real estate sales and leasing of retail and commercial properties in southeastern North Carolina and the Myrtle Beach area of SC. Clients include developers of shopping centers, mixed use communities and commercial properties.

Currently, his most significant client is Carolina Dreams Golf, LLC, owner of over $30 million in retail and mixed use commercial property in Sunset Beach, NC. Since 2004, David has been their agent responsible for leasing over 110,000 square feet of their shopping center and commercial properties and sales or development of the balance of their holdings. David is an active committee member of the Realtors Commercial Alliance of the North Carolina Association of Realtors, a member of ICSC, the International Council of Shopping Centers, Chairman of the South Brunswick Islands Committee of 100 and a member of the NC Economic Developers Association, the Shallotte Economic Development Committee and the Brunswick County Commissioners Small Business Committee.



Prior to joining Sloane Realty, David was Vice President-Commercial Brokerage and Leasing for TradeMark Properties Inc. in Raleigh, NC, the sixth largest commercial real estate company in North Carolina. David has over 30 years of experience in economic development and real estate marketing as well as commercial real estate and development.



For 10 years, he directed the Management Services program at Research Triangle Institute and was lead consultant on numerous business development and site selection projects. David has served as consultant to commercial real estate companies, state Departments of Commerce, regional development organizations, and over 60 county and private development organizations.





David earned his Batchelor of Science in Experimental Statistics and Master of Economics in Econometrics degrees from North Carolina State University and is a Ph.D candidate in Business at UNC.
