My Story



My family vacationed at Oak Island since the 1990s. We enjoyed the family atmosphere, access to the Lockwood Folly and Cape Fear Rivers, the wide beaches and the sunsets at the west end of the island that are the most beautiful we have ever seen. No wonder both ABC and CBS have recently reported that Oak Island is ranked second in the top ten best places to retire in America.



My wife Donna and I bought a vacation home on the island in 2013. We traveled from Charlotte for about a year for weekends and mini vacations. Every time we crossed the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge, we felt the peace and serenity of being home. We decided the essence of coastal living is experiencing the beauty and enjoyment of this environment for a longer period of time. In other words we moved here fulltime. We agreed to give it a year and reevaluate. It’s been three years now and we have never looked back!

A year and a half into retirement we realized that we were not ready for it; we have always dreamed of having our own business and we have always had a passion for real estate. Becoming a Real Estate Broker fit the bill perfectly!

Volunteer Activities: Hope Harbor Home – Offers immediate shelter for women and their children, but also focuses on helping victims break the cycle of abuse.

Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office: Perform community crime prevention workshops and administrative duties to keep more Deputies on the streets.
