Carol is passionate about her clients and the business of real estate. Originally from the Pittsburgh area, Carol began her career as an engineer and project manager working on projects all over the world in the energy/ oil & gas business. She first got involved in real estate development as a consultant to the Army in Washington DC to site renewable energy technologies on Army bases around the U.S. Finally relocating to North Carolina, she found the southeastern coastal area an ideal location to practice real estate. Her project management skills certainly came in handy when she bought a historic home with "good bones" that needed updating. As she began to undertake the significant renovation effort to bring the "diamond in the rough" house back to its former coastal maritime glory, she learned much about home structure, foundations, systems, construction, form+function, design, staging, architecture, local contractors and many other relevant skills. She uses this first hand knowledge to assess properties to help her clients find the right homes in the right area.

When she is not working on real estate, Carol's hobbies include aviation, sailing, travel, antiquing, music and gardening. Some Fun Facts: Carol has raced in the Air Race Classic four times, representing Team DC-3 from the Washington DC area. The Air Race Classic is a group of women pilots who promote aviation education and safe flying skills to women (and men!) of all ages, and use their camaraderie and competitive flying skills to compete in a challenging cross-country 2,400 miles /4-day air race with their personal general aviation airplanes. Her adventures have taken her to small airports all over the U.S., and she has a wealth of stories (just ask her!) about her adventures flying in the snow in June in Wyoming; finding the giant Van Gogh painting of sunflowers in Goodland, Kansas on an 80' easel; dancing on the stage at an old theatre in El Dorado, Arkansas; and staging the perfect photo opp at CarHenge in Alliance, NE. She also participates in Pilots n' Paws to rescue and rehome dogs and cats through aviation. She had an appearance acting in a historical documentary that was filmed in Sweetwater, TX, about the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs), and acted totally in character, complete with 1942-era hairstyle, uniform, and clunky men's boots. As a "thank-you" from the film's sponsor, she got to pilot a vintage Fairchild PT-19 over the Texas wind farms and oil rigs. The best of all worlds!!
