About Debra Cornwell

Debra Cornwell is ambitious, dedicated and goal oriented. She prides herself on building relationships, whose compassion and personable approach have all earned her a reputation as a trusted professional. She has 30 plus years in marketing and business development. Debra studied at LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA.

Debra is a native of South Florida where she spent time on the Florida Keys fishing. She has been in North Carolina for over 25 years and has loved every minute!

Debra specializes in seeing the hidden potential in homes, negotiating, and helping friends with the visions of property improvement. She has a knack for remodels, revamp, and design.
Her home in Kernersville, NC was featured in the Winston-Salem Journal, NC "A Family's Flair for Fantastic Furniture" prior to retiring to the beach 3 years ago.

In 2008, Debra and her husband built their retirement home at Sunset Beach, taking a construction loan and finding their builder. Since then, Debra added two room additions. She pulled permits, hired carpenters, electricians, and worked within a budget.

In the 80's she worked for a Civil Engineering Firm, Chattanooga, TN. Her grandfather was the Landscape Architect for the Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. She attributes her love of building and design from her mother and grandfather.

With a love for making all things beautiful and the skill of smart investing, Debra embarked during Covid to follow her talents to become a licensed Realtor, and is now combining her many talents to create a win win in Real Estate.

When not working on revamp projects, which includes her yard, Debra spends time with her husband, dog and grandchildren. She enjoys entertaining, boating, fishing, and recently took up pickle ball. She and her husband are active with the United States Power Squadron, Shallotte River, taking boat safety classes and Squadron service projects. Her husband is certified through the United States Coast Guard to do free Vessel Safety Checks. Debra is an advocate on promoting boating safety for ages 16 years and up. In addition, she supports schools and non-profits throughout NC. Her love of serving and helping others brings great joy.
